India is my country.

All Indians are my brothers and sisters.

I love my country.

Hence, I shall strive, to the very best of my ability

and circumstances to promote actively and in a practical manner,

the national goals of Justice, Equality,

Brotherhood and Unity,

which are set before me and every other citizen,

in the Constitution of India.

God of creation, father of light, source of wisdom,

we thank you for this beautiful day,

keep us alert in all what we do,

sharpen our memories and enlighten our minds.

As we live and learn together,

help us to be kind and gentle in our conduct,

so that with others we may build a better tomorrow.

God our father,

we thank you for bringing us safely to the close of this day.

Bless our teachers,

friends and all those whom we met today.

Help us to remember the good things we have learnt.

Be with us as we get back home.

Our Father in Heaven, holy be your name, Your kingdom come.

You will be done on Earth as in Heaven.

Give us today our daily bread and forgive us our sins,

as we forgive those who sin against us,

do not bring us to the test but deliver us from all evil.
